How do I curl my hair with a 1 1/2 inch curlling iron to get loose curls?

I have a revlon ceramic 1 1/2 inch curling iron. My hair is thick and wavy but i straighten it a lot. I always use heat protectant spray. My hair is lower than my shoulders and higher than my chest. Please help, I tried it before and my hair didn't come out good. Thanks soo much!! =]]How do I curl my hair with a 1 1/2 inch curlling iron to get loose curls?
take the curling iron and hold it tip down.



take hair by very small sections (play around to see what looks best with your hair)



wrap each small section AROUND the curling iron, spiriling down the curling iron (dont twirl the curling iron itself, twirl your hair AROUND it tightly)



hold for 10-15 seconds



this creates a wavy curl look.



play around with twisting your hair first before twisting it around the curling iron, gives it a tighter look.



apply hair spray!!!!

Ask the stylist to show you good technique.
